    Colorado and Utah Trip 2019

Travel Days 1 and 2 in the Mighty Merc It’s been way too long since we last had a blog post up! We have so much to share from our summer and fall adventures and want to start with all we saw, hiked, and climbed on our last westward adventure. Once again we found ourselves loading up and heading west for our family vacation. This year was a dual destination event with the bulk of our time being spent around…

Colorado 2018 – Granby area in the Mighty Merc. – Day 8

Not much to look at on this one as it was just a long road day driving from Granby to St. Louis in one shot. Colorado 2018 – Granby area in the Mighty Merc. – Day 7

Day 7 saw my folks departing heading back to the St. Louis area. The kids (and adults) started out pretty well: But it wasn’t long before they wound up in the packs: The hut at the top was pretty impressive. I’d really like to stay there one day as I bet it would be cool to see the stars out there at night: After getting the kids to…

Colorado 2018 – Granby area in the Mighty Merc. – Day 5

Day 5 found us kid free for a bit as the kids headed off to a playground with Nana and Papa. So the wife and I had some time to hike a bit further than we usually can with kids strapped to our backs. So we grabbed a quick breakfast and ran up to the town of Grand Lake to grab some sunrise photos: After that we rolled back into the park to see what we could see, hoping to…
