Fold Down Garage Tables

I came across this idea from somewhere on the internet. Given the limited space I have in the garage, and the lack of clean horizontal surfaces, this seemed like a slam dunk. So I grabbed some scrap OSB and 2×4’s and came up with this:

After living with them for awhile, I found that I was primarily using the table on the left and rarely using the one on the right due to things being stacked in the way of it. So I wound up cutting it down:

And then I used the blank wall space to build the wife a paint shelf:

Now that small table gets used about as much as the large table. If I were to do it again, I would probably make them a bit more robust with some sort of non flammable top so that I could use them for welding small projects on. As they sit right now, they’re heavy duty enough to disassemble large automotive components on, so they’re not exactly delicate.
