The Lone Ranger – 60/14 Bolt swap – Stripping the Rear and Quick rear spring location for 115” WB

A brief period of dry timed allowed me to flip the truck around yesterday, so here’s a before and after shot for you.

Pulled into the garage 2/15/11 looking like this:

Flipped around 3/10/11 looking like this:

Now it gets to gaze out of the garage into the neighborhood:

Then it was time to start attacking the rear, which stared out looking like this:

Pulled out the huuuuuge tank (that was fun getting the last of the gas out of it):
Sara L.: Build and Misc &emdash;

Pulled the carrier out of the 8.8 for the 3.73’s (the moostang is getting a gear swap in the future):
Sara L.: Build and Misc &emdash;

Then the rest of the misc brackets and such just fell off:
Sara L.: Build and Misc &emdash;

Rolled the D60 roughly into place around 115” WB:
Sara L.: Build and Misc &emdash;

And placed a spring on top of it to get a feel for where it wants to live:

I need to do some more reading on the 63/64” springs. It seems like there is more arc on these than I was thinking. Unless they flatten out quite a bit with some weight on them, I’ve got a feeling I’ll be hacking up my rear body mount
