After removing the IFS, and hacking in a traditional steering box, I needed to come up with a way to connect the box to the column. After a little trial and error, I wound up hacking the IFS steering shaft up some and placing a Borgeson Universal on the end. The part number to match up with the Ford box that I am using is 013464, which has a ¾”-36 spline on one side and a smooth bore ¾” on the other.
This was pretty straight forward. Lop off the end of the IFS shaft, put the Borgeson joint on the end, align your box to your column, and weld!
