The Mighty Merc – Steering Shaft Hacking
After removing the IFS, and hacking in a traditional steering box, I needed to come up with a way to connect the box to the column. After a little trial and error, I wound up hacking the IFS steering shaft up some and placing a Borgeson Universal on the end. South of us got a ton or rain this past week, so we snuck down to see some of the waterfalls and such. We put a little over 350 miles on the adventure mobile.

The Mighty Merc – Trans/Doubler Cross Member Fun!
Given how often I seem to be working on my wheelers, I wanted to makes sure that the cross member and skids plates that I come up with are easily removable for service, don’t hinder routine inspection/fluid changes, and don’t weigh 200 lbs each. So I went for a bit more of a minimalist approach this time around.
