Michigan 2016 – Part 1
We decided that since life had slowed down a bit (ha!) that we should take the opportunity to get out of the house for a long weekend. The wife booked us a place to stay in South Haven MI and plans were made to make it happen.

St. Louis Botanical Gardens 6/18/16
We made our first family trip to the Botanical Gardens with Grandma in tow. It had been several years since we had been there and lots of changes were made. It was good to see the refresh! The boy had a lot of fun playing in the water features: And once again, we wore out the little one:

St. Louis Zoo 6/25/16
We made our first trip with both kids to the St. Louis Zoo here recently. The grandparents came along and we all had a good time watching the kids explore better part of the Zoo. The boy really enjoyed playing with the sea lions: The tunnel was also a big hit! We spent a decent chunk of time in the children’s zoo where things were a bit more interactive. The Mighty Merc – Front Leaf Mounting
After getting the steering box in place, it was time to firm up where the front end wanted to live. It wound up being pushed farther forward than I would like it to be, and the high steer for the Tie Rod won’t work with the leafs in place, but that’s life.

The Mighty Merc – Making A Steering Box Fit
Now that I have a blank slate to work with, the real fun gets to start. That fun being making a hole for a traditional steering box to fit in such a way that it won’t interfere with the oil filter adapter, keep the pitman arm from hitting the frame, and tucked up as high as it can possibly be. Easy right?
