Silver Dollar City
If you only visit one attraction in Branson, it has to be Silver Dollar City. Voted the #1 theme park in America multiple years in a row, this 1880s themed park features a variety of rides, amusements, craftsman, live music and incredible delicious eats. I adore how clean and family-friendly this park is with rides for kids of all ages to enjoy. Not only are there roller coasters, water rides, and kid-sized thrills, but you can also enjoy multiple shows and even tour a cave!
For kids especially, be sure to check out Fireman’s Landing and the Grand Exposition areas. There two sections of the park are focused on kid-friendly rides. Other good rides for kids of all ages include the Flooded Mine and the train.

Through late October, the park’s Harvest Festival is in full swing. The park is literally dripping with festive fall decor including a whomping 20,000 pumpkins, many of which glow at night. The park also welcomes hundreds of artisans from all over the country to demonstrate and sell their handmade art and crafts.
One thing that really sets Silver Dollar City apart from other amusement parks is the quality and variety of food. Special seasonal flavors and delicacies are developed for each season. During the Harvest Festival, don’t miss trying out the many special menu items and treats with a focus on pumpkin and apple flavors. You can save money buy purchasing a Tasting Passport which gets you 5 different seasonal menu items to try for one price.
Shepherd of the Hills
Shepherd of the Hills is another must-see attraction in Branson in the fall that combines a unique blend of cultural attractions with outdoor adventure. Shepherd of the Hills offers indoor and outdoor dinner shows, seasonal activities, and an outdoor adventure park. The adventure park includes many attractions for kids of all ages including a TreeTop Sky Trail, mini golf, farm animals, obstacle course, slides, and family games. A ride to the top of the 230 foot Inspiration Tower is also included.
For an additional fee, more adventurous kids and adults can take a ride on the mountain coaster or tackle the aerial ropes course. The ropes course even has a lower, little tykes course for younger kids.
If you are brave enough, I highly recommend riding the Vigilante Extreme Ziprider. My son and I had a blast launching from 140′ in the air on this half mile ride. It was so incredible and less scary than I was expecting since you are sitting in a special harness seat.
In the fall, Shepherd of the Hills features PumpkinFest. This special event includes the the standard adventure park attractions plus pumpkin carving, hayrides, photo ops, and seasonal treats. The new Pumpkins Aglow event just opened in 2025 as an enchanted night walk past thousands of glowing pumpkins and lighted displays.
Top of the Rock
Top of the Rock is one of Branson’s most scenic spots. Located just south of Branson, visitors can explore multiple restaurants, a scenic golf cart cave tour, a fascinating history museum, and stunning sunset ceremonies, For families, the Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Tour is not to be missed!
The Lost Canyon Tour involves renting a golf cart to travel a 2.5-mile family-friendly trail through the beautiful Ozarks. Kids and adults alike will love spotting the unique rock formations, lovely bridges, and splashing waterfalls along the path.
One of the highlights is traveling through a cave where you can grab a drink or snack at the Bat Bar before continuing your adventure past an underground waterfall. The trail ends with a stop at the skybridge overlook, where the whole family can take in sweeping views of the Ozark Mountains.
Dogwood Canyon
Fall is the perfect season to explore Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. Located southwest of Branson, this 10,000 acre nature park is worth the drive. Families can explore by foot, rent bikes, or book a tram tour.
The paved pathways wind past scenic waterfalls and rugged bluffs. Kids will love the treehouse and conservation center while adults can appreciate the working grist mill. If you want to experience more of the park, you can book a wildlife tram tour to travel further into the park and see see bison, elk, and longhorn cattle. The vibrant fall foliage makes it a photographer’s dream, and kids love the chance to see animals up close.

Fritz’s Adventure Park is an indoor playground for all ages. If you have been to the St. Louis City Museum, this place has similar vibes. This massive indoor adventure space was constructed with industrial salvage and features ropes courses, rock climbing walls, underground tunnels, laser tag, and giant slides.
Kids can burn off plenty of energy while parents join in or watch from the sidelines. It’s especially great if you hit a rainy or chilly fall day and still want plenty of activity. My kids absolutely love this place and want to visit each time we are in Branson.
Dolly Parton’s Stampede
Few Branson attractions capture the spirit of the Ozarks like Dolly Parton’s Stampede. This dinner show offers a four-course meal while you watch horses, riders, music, and comedy play out in a lively competition. The atmosphere is festive, fun, and perfect for families. Be sure to arrive early to meet the horses and watch the pre-show.

Dick’s 5 & 10
Walking into Dick’s 5 & 10 feels like stepping back in time. This nostalgic store has been part of downtown Branson for decades, and it’s filled with toys, candy, souvenirs, and quirky finds. Our family loves browsing this classic general store to see what unique and fun finds we discover. It’s one of those nostalgic Branson stops that makes for great memories.

The Dewey Short Visitor Center is a stop that surprised us. I was not expecting this visitor center at the Table Rock Dam to be so large! There are three stories of interactive exhibits provide information on the US Army Corps of Engineers, Native American history, Ozarks wildlife, flood risk management, recreation, water safety, and more. Our kids were able to answer questions about water safety and earned prizes.

Just below Table Rock Dam you can find the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery and Shepherd of the Hills Conservation Education Center. Branson Landing
Located along Lake Taneycomo, the Branson Landing Fountain Show is a must-see evening attraction that is completely free to watch.
