Michigan 2016 – Part 1
We decided that since life had slowed down a bit (ha!) that we should take the opportunity to get out of the house for a long weekend. The wife booked us a place to stay in South Haven MI and plans were made to make it happen.

St. Louis Botanical Gardens 6/18/16
We made our first family trip to the Botanical Gardens with Grandma in tow. It had been several years since we had been there and lots of changes were made. It was good to see the refresh! The boy had a lot of fun playing in the water features: And once again, we wore out the little one:

St. Louis Zoo 6/25/16
We made our first trip with both kids to the St. Louis Zoo here recently. The grandparents came along and we all had a good time watching the kids explore better part of the Zoo. The boy really enjoyed playing with the sea lions: The tunnel was also a big hit! We spent a decent chunk of time in the children’s zoo where things were a bit more interactive. Oh Canada! 2013 Trip – Monday!
Monday morning we were thwarted every which way we turned to try to get to see some good sunrise photos. The roads (and most of the town) of Banff were still heavily flooded which cut off our likely paths of travel to the good view points. But we made the best of it, the sleep town of Banff down below:

Oh Canada! 2013 Trip – Sunday Sunday Sunday!
Once again my dear wife dragged us out of bed good and early to catch the sunrise. This time it was the Waterfowl lakes (upper and lower), and it was dang cold! (1°C), but the scenery was beautiful.
