Colorado 2018 – Granby area in the Mighty Merc – Day 1
In the midst of building a house we were gifted with some free lodging in Granby, Colorado from my fantastic in-laws. So we got to have an impromptu vacation out west this year when we weren’t expecting to have one at all. Awesome. Boo Castle Park
Anytime we hike at nearby Giant City State Park, we make a stop at Boo Memorial Castle Park near Carbondale. The park was created in memory of a boy who loved Dungeons & Dragons. This privately owned park is free and open to the public to visit. Donations are encouraged to help maintain the park. The park features beautiful gardens, statues, and a huge castle playground. We are always completely blown away at how nicely maintained and well made this…

We decided to head out to Klondike Park in St. Charles County. The park is unique in that is located on the…

Colorado 2017 in the Mighty Merc – Final Thoughts on Thursdays Trip home
So no photos on this post as apparently we didn’t take any on our trip back home. Just imagine the rolling hills of Kansas as that’s what we saw during most of our daylight hours. We woke up before dawn and hit the road. Sunrise saw us sitting in Denver rush hour traffic, and Kansas was many hours of triple digit heat and a 40 mph cross wind. In the end we made it home without an issue, though very…
